[...] This conversation of colours unfolds in every single piece by Sharon Hall and represents the soul of her paintings. It is a realm of enchantment and rigor: we see intense yellows, encounter a deep blue, and are drawn to sharp reds. Other times, we find nuances suspended in a delightful balance between ochre and brown, with consistently warm and luminous tones. The spaces are shaped according to architectural and musical logic, thin bands running along the edge of the canvas, sharp edges unfolding, quiet areas standing out with trapezoidal shapes. But this is not a static theatre; on the contrary, there is movement, a clash of coloured blocks, a shifting of contrasting planes, and an explosion of visual energy. The space of the canvas is a field of relationships in which two opposing principles simultaneously intervene: composition and deconstruction. It is these opposing forces that give these paintings an unmistakable dynamic and poetic identity, and from this contrast arises the secret enchantment inscribed in the paintings' intimacy. The finished work, placed before us, releases all the energy previously stored, like a well-deserved gift to those who gaze upon it attentively.
