Sharon Hall was born in United Kingdom in 1954. She studied painting at Lanchester Polytechnic, Coventry (BA Hons Fine Art) completing in 1979 and she then went on to the Slade School of Fine Art London where she completed a Higher Diploma in Fine Art (Slade) in 1981.

In 1981,after finishing her postgraduate studies, she spent time in a studio in Paris with a French Government Scholarship and in 1991 she was awarded an Abbey Award at the British School at Rome, Italy.

In 2024 Hall was the recipient of the Shelagh Cluett Trust Award and spent six weeks at the Alice Boner Institute in Varanasi, India and also in 2025, she was awarded an Individual Grant by the Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation USA.

Recent solo exhibitions include Intervals Stanza251 Galeria Florence, Italy 2025; Meeting Points Benjamin Rhodes Arts, London, 2024; Across Colour Emma Hill Eagle Gallery London 2021; Threeworks, Scarborough 2019 and Colour in Place Palazzo del Podestà Pescia Italy in 2013.

Hall’s works are held in collections which include Artsite, New York; Barclays Plc, London; Heathrow Airport, London; Norton Rose, London; Prudential Collection, New Jersey, USA. She has work in private collections in Europe, USA and UK.
